Corporate Finance team breaks the £1 billion barrier for M&A transactions in 2006

Charles Russell LLP’s Corporate Finance team has advised on M&A deals with a combined value of over £1 billion in 2006, an increase of 31% on 2005.

During the course of the year the team advised on 79 M&A deals (an increase of almost 50% on 2005), with a total value of £1.1billion. Examples of deals the team worked on in 2006 include:

Advising Canaccord Adams on the £125m acquisition by AIM listed Oriel Resources plc of IPH Polychrom BV plus the $100m acquisition of Croweley International Limited,
Advising Comino Group plc on a £50 million recommended cash offer by Civica plc. Comino is a leading software supplier to the local government.
Acting for the Hudson Group on the $51.6 million disposal of its UK Executive Search Business and its executive search businesses in the US, Australia and Canada, to Heidrick & Struggles International.
Advising Abacus Group plc on its £28.4 million recommended offer for Deltron Electronics plc, which was implemented by a scheme of arrangement.
