Research for Chambers UK 2013 Directory has now finished and we have been notified that 74 partners and solicitors have been listed as 'Leaders in their Field' in 86 categories (some are in two categories) in the directory will be published in October 2012. This is up on the 69 we had listed last year and is a record for the firm. 'Leaders in their Field' rankings are awarded by the researchers on the basis of feedback from our referees, the work the individual has been handling (as shown in our submission) and feedback from peers (in other law firms).
Partners Bart Peerless and Suzanne Marriott were being recognised in the inaugural Legal Week International Trusts and Private Client elite guide. Out of nearly 1000 nominations the list of 100, covering UK & Europe, US, Asia and Barristers, were singled out by their peers as being the top of their field in a voting system.

Spear’s Indices are authoritative surveys of the key players and the most respected authorities in the high net worth world. The index highlights the top lawyers under 35 operating in the areas of Family law, Tax & Trust, Charity and Property in connection with the Private Wealth sector.
21 Charles Russell partners and Consultants from the Charity, Private Client, Family, Contentious Trusts, Landed Estates and Property practices have been highlighted as Leaders in The Citywealth Leaders List 2012, placing Charles Russell in the top three law firms in the publication. The list is compiled through a detailed research process, with input from a huge number of people within the private wealth management sector (peers in law firms, accountants, family offices and financial institutions) as well as their clients.
We are delighted to announce that private client partner Piers Master, has won "Citywealth Young Person (YP), New Leader" at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2012. The award was open to any individual in the wealth industry and the shortlist included individuals from well known banks and wealth management companies. A combination of online voting and a panel of judges decided on the winners who were announced at an awards ceremony on 10 May 2012. Now in their seventh year, the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards has become an established presence in the Private Wealth sector calendar. Each year the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards brings together the elite of advisers in the Private Wealth sector as well as being an established event for philanthropists and the Ultra High Net Worth readership of Citywealth magazine.
Charles Russell has been named one of Private Client Practitioner’s Top 25 Law Firms 2012 by Private Client Practitioner magazine. Private Client Practitioner is a leading website and magazine publisher targeted at meeting the information needs of those involved in the creation and preservation of private wealth. The aim of this ranking is to identify, recognise, introduce and promote the Top 25 Private Client Law Firms. Approximately 125 private client law firms were surveyed and the Top 25 is based on data received on areas such as number of partners, number of fee earners, total number of staff and total fee income. Charles Russell was awarded the prize for the Best Contribution by a Law Firm at the 2011 LawWorks Pro Bono Awards. The award is a deserving testament to those who give up their time for a range of pro bono projects, including the band of enthusiastic volunteers who visit Bethnal Green legal advice centre, the RCJ CAB and the Surrey Law Centre, those who take on cases for charities, community groups and individuals and those who are involved in desk-based initial electronic advice work.

The quality and quantity of nominations were then used to judge and create the final list of the most admired companies in the UK and UK offshore market
