Charles Russell is proud sponsor to British sailor Helena Lucas  demonstrating its commitment to the development of the UK’s most successful Olympic medal sport.

The firm are also sponsors of the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, the outstanding 2012 sailing venue, where their support has been invaluable in the running of reduced rate community sailing programmes and the development of an Olympic legacy.

Twenty20 cricket
Charles Russell is the proud title sponsor of the annual Twenty20 cricket match between Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The fixture, known as The Charles Russell Twenty20 Varsity Match, was played for the first time at The Parks, Oxford in 2008 and will now alternate each year between The Parks (Oxford) and Fenner's (Cambridge).

As the only law firm with offices in both cities, this sponsorship provides an ideal opportunity for Charles Russell to consolidate its links with the universities themselves as well as the wider business communities. The exciting format of Twenty20 has significantly boosted the profile and popularity of cricket over recent years. The shorter and more exhilarating matches have proved to be of huge appeal in the UK, making now the ideal time to introduce Twenty20 to the Varsity sporting calendar.

Cambridge Philharmonic Society
Charles Russell is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Cambridge Philharmonic Society, one of the leading amateur music organisations in the country.

The Society performs great choral and orchestral works alongside new pieces and neglected masterpieces by both well-known and less famous composers. It also regularly engages established professional soloists and encourages the work of young musicians. Concerts are mainly held in Cambridge and the surrounding area.
